Student Organization of the Year
Criteria
- A University of the Sciences organization which demonstrated commitment to excellence in the fulfillment of its purpose and goals as well as those of the greater University community throughout the year.
- Responded to the needs and improved the quality of life for its members and the University community.
- Provided programs that promoted interaction among the members and the University community.
Martin Luther King Service Award
Criteria
- A USP organization or a full-time student at University of the Sciences.
- Identified and responded to a social injustice or community concern with a constructive and effective student initiated project or program.
- Individual or group demonstrates the spirit Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy of courage, commitment, leadership, sacrifice, and service.
Campus Community Development Program
Criteria
- A University of the Sciences organization or a full-time student at University of the Sciences.
- Conducted an outstanding one-time or on-going developmental program for the University's campus community.
- Demonstrated an innovative and/or creative outreach to the campus community which resulted in bringing the University together and accomplishing at least one of the University's missions, goals and/or values.
Emerging Student Leader of the Year
Criteria
- First or second year full-time student at USP.
- Assumed for the first time a leadership opportunity from which he/she gained skills and understanding that benefited himself/herself and others.
- Exhibited ability to follow-through with commitment.
- Individual has displayed a high motivation and a commitment to continued participation in co-curricular life at University of the Sciences.
- Individual is enthusiastic to work in developing other new leaders.
Persevering Leader of the Year
Criteria
- A full-time student at University of the Sciences.
- Demonstrated a long term commitment to serving the needs of other students even in times when there have been set backs or barriers.
- Faced and overcame a leadership or organizational challenged from which he/she developed specific skills and/or self-confidence.
- Individual has consistently displayed a high level of enthusiasm and motivation around student life at University of the Sciences.
- Took initiative and was self-directed.
Collaborative Leader or Organization of the Year
Criteria
- A University of the Sciences organization or a full-time student at University of the Sciences.
- Conducted an outstanding program in collaboration with another leader or USP organization.
- Exhibited team work and collaboration in all aspects of the event.
- Shared responsibilities among participants with a commitment to a common goal within the scope of the University's mission.
Outstanding Cultural Program of the Year
Criteria
- A University of the Sciences organization or a full-time student at University of the Sciences.
- Conducted an outstanding program which promoted diversity and cross-cultural sensitivity and appreciation. The program's content or theme may have a single or multi-cultural focus.
- Promoted an opportunity to transcend cultural and racial boundaries.
Outstanding Advisor of the Year
Criteria
- A member of the faculty or staff at University of the Sciences.
- Actively provided motivation and encouragement to the organization.
- Recognized and promoted the goals of the organization.
- Assisted with the orientation and training of new officers.
- Provided continuity for the organization.

Criteria
- A full-time Student at University of the Sciences.
- Demonstrated scholastic ability.
- Demonstrated participation and leadership in academic and co-curricular activities.
- Demonstrated citizenship and service to the University and community.
- Showed potential for future leadership.
