King's legacy of courage, commitment, leadership, sacrifice, and
service.
Campus Community Development Program
Criteria
A University of the Sciences organization or a full-time student
at University of the Sciences.
Conducted an outstanding one-time or on-going developmental
program for the University's campus community.
Demonstrated an innovative and/or creative outreach to the campus
community which resulted in bringing the University together and
accomplishing at least one of the University's missions, goals
and/or values.
Emerging Student Leader of the Year
Criteria
First or second year full-time student at USP.
Assumed for the first time a leadership opportunity from which
he/she gained skills and understanding that benefited himself/herself
and others.
Exhibited ability to follow-through with commitment.
Individual has displayed a high motivation and a commitment
to continued participation in co-curricular life at University
of the Sciences.
Individual is enthusiastic to work in developing other new leaders.
Persevering Leader of the Year
Criteria
A full-time student at University of the Sciences.
Demonstrated a long term commitment to serving the needs of
other students even in times when there have been set backs or
barriers.
Faced and overcame a leadership or organizational challenged
from which he/she developed specific skills and/or self-confidence.
Individual has consistently displayed a high level of enthusiasm
and motivation around student life at University of the Sciences.
Took initiative and was self-directed.
Collaborative Leader or Organization of the Year
Criteria
A University of the Sciences organization or a full-time student
at University of the Sciences.
Conducted an outstanding program in collaboration with another
leader or USP organization.
Exhibited team work and collaboration in all aspects of the event.
Shared responsibilities among participants with a commitment to a common goal within the scope of the University's mission.
Outstanding Cultural Program of the Year
Criteria
A University of the Sciences organization or a full-time student
at University of the Sciences.
Conducted an outstanding program which promoted diversity and
cross-cultural sensitivity and appreciation. The program's content
or theme may have a single or multi-cultural focus.
Promoted an opportunity to transcend cultural and racial boundaries.
Outstanding Advisor of the Year
Criteria
A member of the faculty or staff at University of the Sciences.
Actively provided motivation and encouragement to the organization.
Recognized and promoted the goals of the organization.
Assisted with the orientation and training of new officers.
