Like many incoming freshmen, Andrew Ward needed help in determining his career path. After sampling a couple of different majors and with guidance from University advisers, Ward settled on biology and pre-med. Medical school awaits.
“I couldn’t be happier,” Andrew says. “Everyone who’s taught me, it’s so blatantly obvious they like doing it. I’m here to learn and prepare for medical school, and the environment at USP is very conducive to that.”
Having had assistance in finding his path at USP, Andrew wanted to guide others as he had been guided. As a student orientation leader, that’s exactly what he does, helping younger peers make the transition to college life.
“I know what it’s like to feel out of place,” he says. “If I can get through to just a few students, that’s enough.”
