USP Names New Director of Executive MBA Program in Pharmaceutical Business

University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP) recently announced the appointment of Dr. Harold E. Glass as the director of the graduate programs in pharmaceutical business administration, starting with an Executive MBA.  The part-time weekend program is geared for experienced professionals in the pharmaceutical and health care industries who aspire to senior-level management positions.

Dr. Glass has a well-established reputation in the pharmaceutical industry.  He brings with him tremendous entrepreneurial energy and experience with cultural variations and diverse constituencies in industry, academia and government.  He has more than 20 years experience in business and the pharmaceutical industry at both the national and international levels.  He was the founder and CEO of DataEdge, LLC, before selling the business to IMS Health, a New York Stock Exchange company.  His previous academic appointments were at the University of North Carolina and University of Zurich.  His research has been used by the United States Congress and the British House of Commons.  Dr. Glass has numerous publications on business strategy, econometrics, and drug development.   He is also currently a visiting senior research fellow at Queen Mary College of the University of London.

He received a Ph.D. in political economics at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a M.Sc. (Econ.) degree from the London School of Economics.
