Astronomer To Present Lecture On Extraterrestrial Life At USP
Steven
J. Dick, an astronomer and historian of science at the U.S. Naval
Observatory in Washington, D.
C., will present a lecture about extraterrestrial life at University of
the Sciences in Philadelphia on Friday, March 23, 2 p.m., in Glasser Hall
(Room 116), 43rd Street and Woodland Avenue. The lecture, "The Biological Universe: Perspectives on
Extraterrestrial Life," will theorize how our lives will change if intelligent
life on other worlds are discovered.

Steven
J. Dick is the President of Commission 4 (History of Astronomy) of the
International Astronomical Union, and author of Plurality of Worlds
(Cambridge, 1982), The Biological Universe (Cambridge, 1996), and
Life on Other Worlds (Cambridge, 1998).
