Of The Sciences In Philadelphia Names New Director of Planned Giving and
Major Gifts University
of the Sciences in Philadelphia has recently named Kenneth J.D. Boyden,
Esquire, of Haverford, Pa. (19041), as its new director of planned giving
and major gifts.
Before
coming to USP, Boyden was the planned giving officer for Abington Memorial
Hospital, where he solicited and stewarded major and planned gift prospects.
He also has spent the past 13 years working in the legal field.
He was an employee of the law offices of DiOrioi and Sereni, LLP,
where he achieved Of Counsel status, providing services and counsel to
various charitable organizations in the areas of fund-raising and major
gift solicitations. From
1988 to 2000, he served as Delaware County District Justice, retiring
as a senior judge.
Boyden
is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the National
Society of Fund Raising Executives, American Trial Lawyers Association,
American Bar Association and the Pennsylvania and Delaware County Bar
Associations.
He
received a B.S. criminal justice from West Chester University and a J.D.
from The Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, Pa.
