Student Takes On Leadership Role During Occupational Therapy
Meeting In Seattle
Kimberly A. Koschineg
assumed a challenging leadership role at the recent American
Student Committee of the Occupational Therapy Association
(ASCOTA) Delegate Meetings in Seattle, Wash. Koschineg,
a fifth-year occupational therapy major at University of
the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP) was
chosen as the facilitator for the Issues in Education
Task Force. She will be responsible for meeting the objectives
set by the task force and relaying the information from
the delegate meeting to USP.
The ASCOTA is made up of student
members of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Annually, the ASCOTA delegate from each educational program
represents the school at the ASCOTA Pre-Conference Delegate
Meetings. ASCOTA provides a mechanism for the expression
of student concerns, and offers a means whereby students
can have effective input into the affairs of AOTA.
University of the Sciences in
Philadelphia is a private, coeducational institution founded
in 1821 as Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, the first college
of pharmacy in North America. USP specializes in educating
students for rewarding health and science careers through
its ten bachelor's, ten master's and four doctoral degree
programs in the health and related sciences.
