Of The Sciences In Philadelphia Names New Chief Information
Officer
University of the Sciences
in Philadelphia recently named Patrick J. Lepore as Chief
Information Officer (CIO). His responsibilities include
leading the development and maintenance of an overall campus-wide
strategic plan for Information Technology and acting as
the interface between all Information Technology activities
on campus.
Before coming to USP
four years ago as the Director of Administrative Computing
and later Associate Vice President for Information Technology,
Lepore was an Associate Director of Computing Systems at
the University of Scranton and an adjunct faculty member
in engineering at Penn State University. He received a B.S.
in Industrial Engineering Technology from Southern Illinois
University and an M.S. in Management Information Systems
from Lesley College in Cambridge, Mass.
University of the Sciences
in Philadelphia is a private, coeducational institution
founded in 1821 as Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, the
first college of pharmacy in North America. USP specializes
in educating students for rewarding health and science careers
through its ten bachelor's, ten master's and four doctoral
degree programs in the health and related sciences.
