Marc Campolo, PT, PhD, SCS, ATC,CSCS
Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy
Dr. Campolo received his BS in Physical Therapy from Hunter College,
his MA in Exercise Physiology from Adelphi University, and his PhD
in Health Sciences from Seton Hall University. He is an American
Board of Physical Therapy Specialties certified Sports Clinical
Specialist, and a member of the sports and education sections of
the American Physical Therapy Association. His research interest
is in the area of electrotherapy and muscle activation patterns.
Dr. Campolo has published and presented nationally.
Michelle E. Cohen, PhD
Associate Professor Cohen received her BA in Psychology
from Beaver College (Arcadia University) and both her Masters in
Education in Human Learning and Cognition and her doctorate in Educational
Psychology from Temple University. Her special interests include
rehabilitation outcomes and quality of life. She has been published
in over 35 publications in peer reviewed journals of medicine, rehabilitation
and psychology.
Lisa Hoglund, PT, OCS,
CertMDT
Assistant Professor Hoglund earned her BS and Certificate in Physical
Therapy from the University of Michigan. She is currently working
on a PhD in Physical Therapy at Temple University. Her dissertation
research is in the area of biomechanics of the lower extremities
in persons with osteoarthritis of the knee. Ms. Hoglund is a board-certified
orthopaedic clinical specialists as well as a specialist in the
McKenzie method of physical therapy. She is a member of the orthopaedic,
education and research sections of the American Physical Therapy
Association (APTA) and a member of the Association of Rheumatology
Health Professionals (ARHP). She has presented nationally.
Carol Maritz, PT, EdD,
GCS
Dr. Maritz is a board-certified, geriatric, clinical specialist.
She holds a doctorate degree in education from Nova Southeastern
University in Florida, a master's degree in gerontology from St.
Joseph's University in Pennsylvania and a physical therapy certificate
from Hahnemann University in Pennsylvania. She also earned a BS
in biology and Glassboro State College in New Jersey. Dr. Maritz
is a member of the geriatric and education sections of the American
Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and sits on the Board of Directors
for ElderNet of Lower Merion and Narberth. She has presented at
numerous conferences and has co-authored publications on the Aging
as well as Teaching Methodologies.
Peter Miller, PT, PhD,
Executive Director of Academic Assessment
Dr. Miller received his BS in Physical Therapy at New York University,
his master's degree in health science at Washington University and
his doctorate in educational psychology at Temple University. His
special interests include falls in the elderly and higher education
assessment. He has presented nationally.
Lora Packel, PT, MS,
CCS, Director of the Health Science Program
Assistant Professor Packel earned her BA in Biological
Sciences at the University of Delaware and her Master of Science
degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University. She has research
and clinical interests in oncology, obesity management, and cardiovascular
changes after cancer treatment. Professor Packel is a member of
the American Physical Therapy Association. She has presented nationally
and been published in peer reviewed journals.
Margie Roos, PT, DPT,
NCS, Director of Clinical Education
Assistant Professor Roos earned her BS at Quinnipiac College
in Connecticut ,her MS at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and
Science (USP), and her DPT at Drexel University. She is currently
attending University of Delaware working on a PhD in Biomechanics
& Movement Science. She is a board-certified, neurological clinical
specialist. Her special interests include motor learning, upper
extremity overuse in the neurologic population and issues affecting
gait in people with neurologic injuries. She is a member of the
American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Pennsylvania
Physical Therapy Association (PPTA). She has presented nationally.
Greg Thielman, PT,
EdD, ATC
Dr. Thielman received his BS and MS degree in physical
therapy from Springfield College and a doctorate in education with
a movement sciences focus at Columbia University. He has special
interests in both geriatrics and neurology. Dr. Thielman is a member
of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the National
Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and has presented and been
published nationally.
Susan Wainwright,
PT, PhD, Vice Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy
Dr. Wainwright received both her BS and MS from the Philadelphia
College of Pharmacy and Science (USP). She earned her doctorate
in physical therapy at Temple University. Her interests include
clinical decision-making and neuro-rehabilitation. She is a member
of the research and neurology sections of the American Physical
Therapy Association (APTA) and a member of Sigma Xi. She has presented
nationally and has published text-books.
