Post-Professional DPT Program.
If you’re a USP physical therapy alumnus with a master’s degree, you’re probably aware of the move toward hiring individuals with more advanced degrees. If you’re ready to upgrade your formal education, our Post-Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program could be right for you. It’s specifically designed for full-time employed physical therapists looking for a way to advance their training. This program gives employed physical therapists a way to pursue a doctorate degree conveniently via online courses. Courses are web-based and are taught by doctoral-trained and clinically certified faculty.
The curriculum consists of the following coursework—four three-credit courses.
For Graduates prior to and including 2005, courses, in the suggested curricular sequence, include:
- Evidence-based Practice
- Differential Diagnosis
- Medication Impact on the Rehabilitation Patient
- Clinical Research
For Graduates of 2006 and later, courses, in the suggested curricular sequence, include:
- Clinical Tract Course
- Medication Implications of Drug Therapy in PT Practice
- Clinical Research
- Clinical Decision Making
