Ben Steger, was hooked on the
Bioinformatics program the minute he heard about it. "I read an article written by Dr. Pierce, Program Director of our Bioinformatics program, explaining that bioinformatics is the combination of biology and computer science. Since I'm interested in both, I knew right away that's what I wanted to study." Ben discovered University of the Sciences in Philadelphia was one of the first schools in the country to offer it as a major. "I want to compute DNA strands and examine mutations between species." Ben feels there's a great advantage in the way USP educates students. "It's so in-depth and so complete, it becomes second nature."
