A Scientist With Creative Talent

Courtney Cavalieri, Pharm.D 2011, Humanities Minor
When Courtney submitted her essay on Ernest Hemingway to the National Undergraduate Literature Conference, the paper wasn't just accepted-it was lauded as one of the finest ever submitted. Although she plans a career in nuclear pharmacy, there's a reason Courtney pursued a minor in the humanities, "I think it's extremely important for professionals to be well-rounded." It's an interest that began for her in high school, "I had amazing teachers.they got me into analyzing literature." Courtney also is one of the assistant editors of USP's literary journal, The Elixir, was named to the 2007 All-Academic All-American Rifle Team and pursues a hobby in photography. At USP she's found a creative counterpoint for her scientific mind.
