Biography
Dr. Tietze is Professor of Clinical Pharmacy in the Department
of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacy Administration at the Philadelphia
College of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
Dr. Tietze received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree
from the University of Kansas and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree
from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. She completed
a faculty fellowship at the Clinical Research Unit at Thomas Jefferson
University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the National Aeronautics
and Space Administration/American Society for Engineering Education
Faculty Fellowship at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Tietze precepts students and conducts clinical research at
the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania’s Medical Intensive
Care Unit.
Dr. Tietze has authored numerous textbook chapters and articles
in pulmonary and critical care therapeutics. She is the author of
the textbook Clinical Skills for Pharmacists A Patient Focused Approach
published by Mosby, an affiliate of Elsevier Science and is an editor
for the Handbook of Nonprescription Drugs, published by the American
Pharmacists Association.
