Biography

Dr. Cawley is Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacy Administration at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. He is also an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Pharmacy, Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland, Pennsylvania practicing in the Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit.

Dr. Cawley received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. He completed a post-doctorate residency in Surgical Critical Care Pharmacy Practice at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in conjunction with the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center.

He has published numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts in the area of critical care pharmacotherapeutics including topics in pulmonary, infectious disease, cardiology, toxicology and neurology.

He is a member of both the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). Dr. Cawley serves on the editorial boards of several biomedical journals including Annals of Pharmacotherapy and RT The Journal of Respiratory Care Practitioners

Dr. Cawley has been an invited national speaker and serves as an advisory board member and speakers bureau representative for the pharmaceutical industry.

Dr. Cawley also has approximately 15 years experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT).
