National Facts
The national trends for college age individuals with disabilities are:
- In the 2000 Census, 13% (16 mil.) individuals under the age of 21 identified as having a disability
- 9% of college students have a disability (tripled in last two decades), 50% of these students have more than one disability
- 73% of students with disabilities (compared to 84% with a disability) enrolled in post-secondary education
- 1 in 25 undergraduate students have a learning disability

- 15.3% attain a Master’s degree
- 4.1% attain a Doctoral or Professional Degree
