Looking to keep up with the latest research in chemistry and biochemistry? The department of chemistry and biochemistry is presenting a fall seminar series to do just that while also showcasing chemical research on campus and exposing students to new topics not covered in classes.

“While we will focus on research in chemistry and biochemistry, topics of certain talks will have a broad appeal to other types of faculty and students such as those in physics or pharmaceutics,” said Dr. Preston B. Moore, who coordinated the programming.

The seminar series, which is open to all, will feature a mixture of University faculty and students combined with external speakers. This year’s series will have a different flavor with the first week of each month devoted to University of the Sciences’ chemistry faculty who will talk about his/her research. Every other week will bring an outside speaker from a different university. The schedule is filled out with graduate students talking about their research.

Talks are held on a Monday from 3 to 4 p.m. in PTC 140 with refreshments to follow.
