The University of the Sciences Athletic Department welcomed its two newest members, Diane Green P’92 (Rifle 1988-92) and Mark Tacelosky P’97, PharmD’98 (Men’s Basketball 1992-96), into the Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009.
The ceremony took place in the Athletic/Recreation Center between the women’s (1 p.m.) and men’s (3 p.m.) basketball games versus Wilmington University.

When she graduated, Green’s 126,422 points made her not only the top scorer in women’s rifle history, but the all-time leading scorer in men’s and women’s history. In addition, Green was a team champion (high average) her senior year and made four national sectional appearances in her career (the capstone event for a non-NCAA team in her era). She is currently a clinical pharmacy specialist with Coventry Health Care, Inc. in Harrisburg, Pa.

- Four year top four shooter (four makes up a counting team).
- Made four appearances at the Mid Atlantic Rifle Championships – three of which the school won.
- Captain of the team her junior and senior year.
- When she graduated – had established 17 different women’s scoring records and nine different men’s and women’s scoring records.
- Competed at the Naval and Military Academies eight times.
- When she graduated – in the top 10 overall career average shooter in history.
- When she graduated – she was the all-time leading average scorer in women’s history (recently broken by Michelle Bauer in 2008).
- She was the first individual to surpass 100,000 points.
- Her teams won an outstanding 77% of their matches
- Continued her career at the institution after graduation as an assistant coach for four years.

Tacelosky, who was included on the University’s all-Millennium Basketball Team that recognized the 20 greatest men’s basketball players of all time at the school, was an honorable mention all-American NAIA as a junior. In his senior year, he led the devils to the NAIA National Tournament in Nampa Idaho. Tacelosky is a senior medical communications scientist with Pfizer in Collegeville, Pa.

- Was named to three all-conference teams in his sophomore, junior and senior years, including player of the year his senior year.
- Led team in rebounding all four years.
- Only one of two men to score over 2,000 points.
- The team had a record of 90-28 the four years he played – 76% win percentage.
