USP VPN INSTRUCTIONS
Installation
It is recommended that all other applications be closed during the install so that your work is not lost. During an install, network connectivity may be temporarily dropped causing some applications to fail.
Installing Client
- Click here to download the VPN Client (Alert! You must use a zip program to unzip the USP VPN Client program files before installing it.)
- Double-click setup.exe
- The Installation Wizard launches
- Click Next to continue installation of the VPN Client
- Again Click Next to continue installation of the VPN Client
- Close all applications and disable any disk protection and personal firewall software running on your computer. Click Next to continue.
- Select I accept the terms of the license agreement. Click Next to continue.
- Click Next to accept the default location and continue installation
- Click Install to install the Global VPN Client files on your computer
- Select Launch program now to automatically launch the Global VPN Client after finishing the installation
- Click Finish to complete the installation
Setting up Connection to USP
- New connection wizard window will appear click Next
- Select the Remote Access button and click Next
- Type in 208.7.157.1 for the IP Address or Domain Name
- Type in USP as the Connection Name and Click Next
- Select the Create a desktop shortcut for this connection and click Finish
- A connection should appear on the SonicWall Global VPN Client window call USP
- Highlight the USP name and double click to connect
- If a pop-up appears, use the key sent by the IT help desk.
- A window should appear for you username and password. Please use your USP login name and network password that you use to log in to your computer at USP.
