Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Computer-Aided Drug Design and Structural Bioinformatics

Position: Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Computer-Aided Drug Design and Structural Bioinformatics
Department: Bioinformatics and Computer Science
Reports to: Assistant Professor of Bioinformatics

A postdoctoral position is available immediately at the research group of Dr. Zhijun Li at Department of Bioinformatics and Computer Science at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (formerly the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy). The candidate will perform researches in computer-aided drug design and structural bioinformatics as well as help supervise graduate students with research projects. The position is for one year with possible extension.

Educational Requirements: Qualified candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or other related fields. Previous experiences in computer-aided drug design, molecular modeling, or structural bioinformatics will be a plus. Experience or strong interest in computer programming is highly preferred.

Dr. Li’s research group is part of the West Center for Computational Chemistry and Drug Design of the university. The Candidate will have the opportunity to interact with researchers with diverse expertise in computational chemistry and drug design.
