Position: Project Specialist

Description:

• Healthcare position in medical communications, continuing education, and project management
• Understand clients’ needs and expectations for all projects assigned.
• Initiate and plan for project kick-off meeting by preparing relevant materials such as timeline, budget and contact sheet.
• Effectively manage projects according to specifications defined during kick-off meeting
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and financial tracking sheets and ensure that these documents are continuously updated as necessary for project related meetings. Provide regular updates to team members, faculty, and clients.
• Manage outsourced vendors and internal team members to stay on time and within budget as outlined in the project plan. This includes identifying, soliciting, and managing the bidding process from outside vendors to ensure best quality and cost for outsourced work, as well as liaising with faculty to ensure that all proper documentation is in place and deadlines are met.
• Advise Executive Director or designee of any concerns relevant to ability to keep within budget or timelines in timely fashion for any given project
• Responsible for maintaining all project related folders
• Provide mentoring role for Project Coordinators
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree. A minimum of three years of current experience in project management in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Experience in client services, faculty coordination and relationship building with clients. Skilled at logistical planning. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple demands and deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy. Fluency with Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal communication skills. Superior writing and editing skills. Ability to manage multiple demands and deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy. Database skills are highly desired. Strategic thinking skills. Fluency with Microsoft Office.
