Position: Assistant or Associate Professor of Chemistry & Biochemistry
The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP) anticipates an opening for a tenure-track position as an Assistant or Associate Professor beginning Fall 2010, in The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry.  Candidates with research that complements our faculty interests and teaching abilities in inorganic chemistry are encouraged to apply.  The successful candidate will direct a nationally-recognized research program that will attract extramural funding.  Excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels is also expected.  Candidates should have a Ph.D., and postdoctoral experience is essential.

Evaluation of applications will begin October 19 and continue until the position is filled. Originally founded in 1821, USP is a unique health sciences university of ~2900 students, with programs in the natural sciences, pharmacy, and other health related areas.  The Department offers graduate programs to ~40 students at the MS (thesis and nonthesis) and Ph.D. levels in Chemistry, Biochemistry and Pharmacognosy, and undergraduate programs to ~100 majors in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
