Position Title: Director of Operations
This position is responsible for oversight of all account teams,
administrative staff and operations in general, including assigning
account leads and project teams for successful implementation and
delivery of projects and providing strategic direction to ensure
the client’s needs are met.
A. Essential Functions:
1. Manage and oversee internal daily operations of ACI.
2. Ensure adherence to ACI best practices.
3. Understand clients’ needs and expectations for all projects.
4. Provide support to Senior Project Specialist in defining team
roles prior to project kick-off.
5. Identify and develop, along with Project Specialists, the direction
and scope of the relevant requirements for the projects.
6. Provide ongoing support to the project teams to manage any unexpected
or difficult situation with clients or vendors.
7. Establish and maintain client communications to appropriately
keep client abreast of progress.
8. Develop, maintain and evolve systems, policies and procedures
to allow for effective and efficient implementation of projects
including training for staff on the various systems, policies and
procedures.
9. Ensure projects are implemented in accordance with the prescribed
budget. Maintain budget awareness at all times.
10. Recruit faculty involvement for ACI projects.
11. Develop, maintain and evolve the highest of standards for quality
and professionalism throughout project implementation.
12. Keep leadership team informed of relevant industry issues and
trends.
13. Provide leadership and mentoring to team members including individuals
whom do not report to this position. Lead by example.
B. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Machines, Tools, Equipment Operated:
Personal computers, audiovisual equipment, Internet, various office
technologies.
Minimum Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree required
2. A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience
in operations management in the pharmaceutical, life sciences or
healthcare industry
3. Experience in client services
4. Excellent verbal communication skills
5. Superior writing and editing skills
6. Ability to manage multiple teams
7. Ability to manage multiple projects
8. Attention to detail and accuracy
9. Strategic thinking skills
10. Fluency with Microsoft Office
11. Occasional travel required
