Concerts & Events
The Kingsessing Players and Singers perform on-campus
concerts at the end of each semester and at various community and
campus events as requested. Below are the following events for this
semester and links to past concert programs performed during previous
years.

Concert Series
Kingsessing Players Spring Concert
Friday, April 18th

Free and open to the public
It’s spring with the Kingsessing Players, so why be blue? This concert features the
Jazz Ensemble playing a whole bunch of blue tunes, like Ellington’s “C-Jam Blues”,
Miles Davis’ “All Blues”, Kenny Dorham’s “Blue Bossa” and Gershwin’s wonderful
classic, “Summertime”. Other highlights of the evening include the Brass Ensemble
playing Gabrielli and Billings, and the Wind Ensembles’ offerings by W. A. Mozart,
C. d’Hervelois, A. Jarnefelt and Rameau.

Free and open to the public
USP’s String Ensembles explore repertoire ranging from the spiritual, “Sometimes I
Feel like a Motherless Child”, to Copland’s avant garde “Lento molto” from his String
Quartet and Vivaldi’s Concerto in G Major. The Choir sings songs with a springtime
theme: “And the Green Grass Grew” by Donald Moore; Batholomew’s arrangement
of the American traditional “Shenandoah”; and Vaughan Williams’ “Sweet Day”;
among others.
Community Service Projects
Loose Change to Loosen Chains
February 23rd - March 31st
Sponsored by SGA's Multicultural Committee
All proceeds will be donated to International Justice Mission, which is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression.
