It’s spring with the Kingsessing Players, so why be blue? This concert features the Jazz Ensemble playing a whole bunch of blue tunes, like Ellington’s “C-Jam Blues”, Miles Davis’ “All Blues”, Kenny Dorham’s “Blue Bossa” and Gershwin’s wonderful classic, “Summertime”. Other highlights of the evening include the Brass Ensemble playing Gabrielli and Billings, and the Wind Ensembles’ offerings by W. A. Mozart, C. d’Hervelois, A. Jarnefelt and Rameau.

USP’s String Ensembles explore repertoire ranging from the spiritual, “Sometimes I Feel like a Motherless Child”, to Copland’s avant garde “Lento molto” from his String Quartet and Vivaldi’s Concerto in G Major.
