Program
of Study
USP’s Bachelor of Science in Humanities and Science program
gives students a thorough grounding in the natural sciences in combination
with in-depth study in the various humanities disciplines.
Students create majors that center around a traditional discipline
(such as English or history), or they may develop a cross-disciplinary
major on a theme of their own devising.
Every
graduate completes the necessary prerequisites for application to
medical school and various other graduate programs. Every graduate
with this major will have completed at least 32 credit hours of
natural science and at least 42 credits of work in humanities.
All students also participate in a senior capstone course in which
they will bring focus and coherence to their studies by completing
a project in which they not only bring together their work in the
various disciplines of the humanities but also show the connections
between the humanities and the natural sciences.
