Michael Dockray began teaching at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (then Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science) in 1987 when he was hired to create and teach courses in English as a Second Language and to teach courses in American literature.  Since that time, Dockray has taught many different courses at USP, with a primary focus on ESL, Asian American studies, American literature, and Intellectual Heritage.  In addition to teaching, Dockray has been active as an advisor to student organizations, having served over the years as advisor to the Asian Student Association, the Korean Student Association, the student newspaper, and (as co-advisor) the Atheists, Agnostics, and Freethinking Student Association.
