Student health is staffed by the director, a full time nurse, a part time nurse, a consulting physician, and an administrative assistant. In addition, multiple graduate and undergraduate assistants contribute to the student health office and programming.

Bonnie Packer, R.N.,
Assistant Director of Student Health and Counseling.
Ms. Packer received her nursing degree from
Lankenau School of Nursing and received her B.A. in sociology
from Temple University. She is certified in College
Health Nursing from the American Nursing Credentialing Center,
and is a member of the American College Health Association
and Southeastern PA College Health Nurses Association.
She has worked at USP for over 25 years.

Dr. Susan West, Consulting
Physician
Dr. West received her medical degree from SUNY-
Upstate Medical Center after completing a residency in Internal
Medicine at Temple University. She is currently an Assistant
Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Department of Internal
Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where she
is the Medical Director for the Jefferson Hospital Ambulatory
Practice. She is also the Associate Program Director
of the Internal Medicine Residency program at Jefferson |

Dan Smith, LPN.
Dan has been a part time nurse at SHAC since January 2006.
He has worked as an LPN for 10 years. In addition to his nursing
certification, Dan has an Associates degree in Applied Sciences
from Community College of Philadelphia specializing in Cardiovascular
Technology. Dan has also worked as a paramedic with the Phildelphia
Fire Department. He has a daughter in high school, and he
likes to spend his spare time reading books. |

Diane LaBruna, Administrative
Assistant.
Diane has been at USP since 1993, beginning
in the Department of Student Affairs, and then moving into
Student Health with Nurse Packer for the past nine years.
Diane has two college aged students, one who recently graduated
from Temple and one who just began, and as a result is particularly
familiar with the experiences of college students and she
encourages all students to utilize the resources available
at Student Health and Counseling. |
