B. Morris and Edna S. Kratz Student Achievement Awards

BS, MOT, MPT or PharmD candidate; one male and one female; for academic achievement (GPA ≥ 3.0) and participation in intercollegiate athletics

Blanche Gardner Whitecar Award

BS, MOT, MPT or PharmD female candidate in recognition of scholastic achievement (GPA ≥ 3.0) and participation in professional organizations

Chairman of the Board of Trustees' Award

One PharmD candidate and one candidate in a non- pharmacy major for high academic (GPA 3.80 or higher) and professional achievement (participation in professional organizations)

Community Service Award

BS, MOT, MPT or PharmD candidate for outstanding service in the West Philadelphia community

Full-time student in good social standing in the University community organization must not have received funds from a Community Service Award in the previous three years; individuals or groups that demonstrate exceptional initiative for finding creating solutions so as to improve the human condition will be considered.

Service may consist of, but not be limited to, such issues as education, health, food and housing, and justice and equality

Edna B. Woodside Memorial Prize

BS, MOT, MPT or PharmD candidate who, in addition to scholastic merit (GPA ≥ 3.0), has made outstanding contributions to the University and its students

Elizabeth G. Krusen Prize

BS, MOT, MPT or PharmD female candidate in recognition of scholarship (GPA ≥ 3.0) and participation in community activities

Hyman and Ida E. Kellar Award

BS, MOT, MPT or PharmD candidate for outstanding contribution to the life of the University

John E. Kramer Award

BS, MOT, MPT or PharmD candidate to a non-traditional student in recognition of academic excellence (GPA ≥ 3.0)

Martin and Karen Gibbs' Prize in Biological Sciences and Chemistry
  1. BS in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, Microbiology or Pharmaceutical Chemistry
  2. Given a presentation of research at a local, regional or national meeting
  3. GPA ≥ 2.5
  4. Letter of recommendation from the department mentor
  5. Two-page project summary written by the student
Martin and Karen Gibbs' Prizes in Humanities and Social Sciences

Humanities

  1. Written a paper within the preceding three years as part of the course requirements in a directed study, independent study or other Humanities course at the University;
  2. Application submitted to the Chair, Dept. of Humanities;
  3. The paper must address a topic in the humanities; be organized and written in accord with the standards of faculty; and demonstrate competence in research methodology, analysis and/or creativity;
  4. Faculty reserves the right not to award the prize.

Social Sciences

  1. Written a paper within the final year or preceding three years as part of course requirements in a directed study, independent study or other Social Sciences course at the University;
  2. The paper must address a topic in at least one of the social sciences; be organized and written in accord with the standards of faculty; and demonstrate competence in Social Sciences methodology and analysis;
  3. Faculty reserves the right not to award the prize.
Maude E. Hunsberger Prize

BS, MOT, MPT or PharmD candidate on the basis of scholastic achievement (GPA ≥ 3.0) and service to the student body in extracurricular activities

R.W. Johnson Pharmaceutical Research Institute Award

BS, MOT, MPT or PharmD candidate for research excellence

Rene Mock Commencement Award

BS, MOT, MPT or PharmD candidate in recognition of his/her commitment and devotion to patient care through service learning and/or volunteerism

Sarah B. Shapiro Memorial Prize

PharmD candidate with high academic achievement (GPA ≥ 3.0) who exemplifies humanitarian principles of the profession

Warren Rosemarin Commencement Award

BS, MOT, MPT or PharmD candidate who furthered the efforts of the Alumni Association through consistent volunteerism and hard work

Women's Club Past Presidents' Memorial Prize

BS, MOT, MPT or PharmD candidate to an international student on the basis of scholastic achievement (GPA ≥ 3.0) and service to the student body
