Applicants who wish to apply for admission to a graduate program, or who wish to take one or more graduate courses, may apply directly on-line.
USP allows students to apply up to 12 credits of course work taken at USP prior to formal admission toward their graduate degree.

To take courses without admission you must submit :
- Completed Application for Graduate Studies
- Completed Course Registration form
- One Letter of recommendation (for Cell Biology & Biotechnology ONLY).
- Transcripts from Colleges/Universities attended and Resume (for Cell Biology & Biotechnology ONLY).
To apply for formal admission you must submit :

- Completed Course Registration form if you wish to begin taking courses prior to admission.

Letters of recommendation
*Health Policy applicants are required to submit written letters of recommendation in place of or in addition to the recommendation form. - Official transcripts from colleges/Universities attended. If you attended USP or PCPS we will obtain this transcript for you.
- Written statement of professional goals. (a 500 word minimum for Health Policy applicants)
- Resume/Curriculum Vitae listing all significant education and employment

GRE* scores are required for all programs EXCEPT:
- Bioinformatics
- Doctor of Physical Therapy
- Health Psychology
- Pharmacy Administration
- MBA in Pharmaceutical Business
- Science Teacher Certification
* Cell Biology & Biotechnology - Non-matriculated students who have taken a minimum of 9 credits of coursework in the program, who have maintained a GPA of 3.00 or higher, and have received no grade less than B- may apply for a waiver of the GRE requirement.
*Health Policy - The GRE is not required for admission to the M.S. program in Health Policy. It is still required for the PhD., unless the applicant has completed a USP graduate health policy course. There are no formal deadlines for completed applications for admission to the M.S. program. Applications for the Ph.D. program must be completed by the following dates:
- Fall admission - June 1 - Decisions are made approximately 2-4 weeks after this date.
- International students are required to submit a Certification of Finances, official TOEFL and TWE scores. In addition, TSE scores are required for those seeking financial aid.
- Application fee of $50.00 made payable to University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. If you received a degree from USP you are not required to pay a fee.
