Your USP ID Card is designed to not only act as your identification
card, but also to provide you with all the access you need for the
meal plans, bookstore, vending machines, washing machines, library
copiers, and Student Government sponsored events. Your picture is
permanently stored in the Controller's Office so you will not need
to take another picture again.
These are some important rules you should keep in mind:
- Keep your card with you at all times-don't lend it to anyone
else.
- Don't put any holes in the card as they can get stuck in the
card readers.
- Don't lay the card down on any magnetic surface.
How the card is used
If you look at the back of the card you will notice two magnetic
stripes- one thick at the bottom and one thin at the top.
The large bottom stripe contains your meal plan and All Campus
Account identification number. This allows you to access your meal
plan and your All Campus Account. This is an on-line system- there
is no actual value on the card-all the transactions are maintained
in the host computer. If you lose your card all of your present
account value is transferred to your new ID card.
The second smaller stripe on the top of the card is the Debi-Cash
stripe. It is used in the vending machines, washing machines, and
library copiers. This is an offline system; all the value is on
the ID Card. If you lose your card you will lose all the value on
your card. You may transfer money to your card from your All Campus
Account or add value to your card with cash at any time.
Lost cards are replaced at the Controller's Office in Kline Hall
Room 102. The charge for a new card is $10.00.
IMPORTANT
Problems with your card, meal plans, debit stripe, or All Campus
Account may be addressed at the Controller's Office - Kline Hall
