key to integrity lies with all of us. All members of the University
of the Sciences in Philadelphia community are expected to uphold
the highest ethical standard in carrying out their professional
responsibilities. Upholding this standard is integral to the mission
of the university.
Code of Conduct
The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia Code of Conduct
Statement is an acknowledgement by the university's faculty and
staff to uphold the highest corporate ethics, to carry out their
professional responsibilities with integrity, and to make a commitment
to do what is right.
This Code of Conduct requires every member of the USP community
to:
- Be honest, fair and trustworthy in all of their activities and
relationships.
- Act responsibly and with integrity, both in their professional
actions and as members of the community.
- Treat all students, faculty and staff members with dignity and
respect, recognizing that we are partners and all share in the
University's success.
- Avoid conflicts of interest.
- Foster an atmosphere in which fairness and equality are extended
to all members the USP community.
- Strive to create a safe workplace and to protect the environment.
- Sustain a culture through all levels of leadership where ethical
conduct is recognized, respected and promoted.
- Make a positive contribution to the communities in which they
live and work.
Members of the USP community who feel that a university employee
is in violation of this Code of Conduct should report their concerns
to their Dean, Department Head or Department Chair, or to their
immediate supervisor. Reports of suspected violations of this Code
of Conduct can also be made to the Compliance Office at (215) 596-8771
or to the Compliance hotline at (215) 596-7590. All reports of non-compliance
will be addressed in strict confidence.
