Chemical and Pharmaceutical Company Names and Locations*

The Delaware Valley, at the intersection of the three states (Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey) near the City of Philadelphia, has one of the largest concentrations of pharmaceutical and chemical companies in the U.S. The term "Pharm Valley", in analogy with "Silicon Valley", is often used in recognition of the large number of pharmaceutical research facilities and corporate offices.

As might be expected, these companies provide a valuable resource for the University and our students, acting as a ready source of permanent positions for our graduates, internships for our current students, and funding for research projects. Many of our alumni have positions with firms in the Delaware Valley.

Only cities close to a company are displayed on the map. Wilmington (Delaware), Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), and Princeton (New Jersey), in particular, are home to a relatively large number of pharmaceutical and chemical companies.
