The Career Services Department (CSD) at USP offers a wide variety
of services to students including help with career planning, resume
and cover letter writing, interviewing, and job search skills. Students
can meet one-on-one with a staff member of the CSD for individual
help. We also provide a variety of workshops for students.
CSD staff are also available to present to classes on a variety
of career and professional development related topics. Please contact
Patricia Peterson for more
information or to a session schedule.
Today, many students are undecided about an academic major or they
declare a major without an idea of what career options are available
for those majors. Other times, academic issues prevent a student
from continuing in their chosen major or degree program. Selecting
an academic major should be based on the career path the student
wishes to pursue. To learn more about career opportunities by major
that may help your advisees or students, click on the links below.
You will find information on various majors, as well as typical
employers and strategies designed to maximize career opportunities
once the student completes her degree. Each degree includes links
to help the student further explore their chosen field.
We also urge you to browse the "Information
for Students" section of our website for more information
and to familiarize yourself with our services.
