Competed in all six regular season races, the CACC Championship at Carousel Park in Wilmington, Delaware and the NCAA East Regional at Slippery Rock University...ran a personal best for 6,000-meters at the NCAA East Regionals with a time of 28:52.20...Placed 35th overall at the CACC Championships with a time of 24:00.18...Was 26th overall at the Cabrini Invitational at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia with a time of 23:39.50...Ran a 23:35.52 at the Goldey Beacom Invitational at Carousel Park...ran a 5,000-meter personal best of 22:57.48 at the Belmont Classic...Turned in a time of 23:52.88 at the Philadelphia Metro meet.

Prior to USP

A 2006 graduate of Wyoming West High School in Plymouth, Pennsylvania...Was a cross country district medalist... Also participated in indoor and outdoor track and field...Earned the school's "Highest Science Achievement Award"

Personal

Youngest child of Tony and Elaine Verbyla...Has one sister, Ann and a brother, Tony...Earned Dean's List honors in each of her first two semesters at USP...Inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, 2007...Favorite Movie is Ferris Bueller's Day Off...Favorite Music Group is Aerosmith...Sarah says her sister is the most influential person in her life...Chose USP because it had a good reputation location and it has a cross country program. Her career ambition is to be a pharmacist.
