Women
Harriers Place Fourth at CACC Championships (10/21/06)
The University of the
Sciences in Philadelphia, seeking their second consecutive Central Atlantic
Collegiate Conference championship, placed fourth overall at this morning's
meet at Carousel Park in Wilmington, Delaware.
The Devils finished
with 105 points, 18 behind third place Philadelphia University and 20
behind second place Felician College. georgian Court University won the
meet for the fifth time in the seven-year history of the championship.
In those seven years, the Devils have never finished any lower than fourth
place.
Joy Aifuwa
(Jr., Edison HS/Edison, N.J.) paced the Devils, finishing
in second place overall with a time of 21:17.00, nine seconds behind overall
winner Amanda Scibetta of Felician College. Joy
earned All-CACC honors for the third consecutive year with her second
place finish. In those three years, Aifuwa has
finished no lower than third place overall, coming in second in 2004 and
third last year.
Beth Crawford
(Fr., Camden Catholic HS/Haddon Heights, N.J.) and Hayley
Lentz (So., Wilson Area HS/Easton, Pa.) were the second
and third Devils to finish, crossing the line in 20th and 21st place respectively.
Crawford finished in 22:38.79 while Lentz
was a step behind her at 22:40.47. Shelby Rance (Sr., Central
Columbia HS/Bloomsburg, Pa.) was USP's fourth finisher,
crossing the line in 27th place with a time of 23:18.29. Sarah
Verbyla (Fr., Wyoming Valley West HS/Larksville, Pa.) rounded
out the Devils top five, finishing in 35th place with a time of 24:10.31.
Dana Lulias
(Jr., Bishop Shanahan HS/West Chester, Pa.) and
Amanda Reed (Sr., Haverford HS/Haverford, Pa.) rounded out
the Devils finishers, crossing the line in 38th and 57th place respectively.
Lulias finished in 24:24.51 while Reed
completed the 5,000-meter course in 26:51.45.
The Devils will be competing
at the upcoming NCAA East Regional on November 4, 2006 at Slippery Rock
University.
Willey
and Willard Earn All-CACC Honors; Devils Place Seventh at Conference Meet
(10/21/06)
Nick Willey
and Matt Willard finished in the
top ten overall at today's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship
at Carousel Park in Wilmington, Delaware as the University of the Sciences
in Philadelphia men's cross country team placed seventh overall amongst
the 10 schools competing.
Willey's
(So., Shenendehowa HS/Clifton Park, N.Y.) and Willard's
(Fr., Cardinal O'Hara HS/Broomall, Pa.) finish earned them
All-CACC honors for the 2006 season. The All-CACC Men's Cross Country
Team consists of the top 15 finishers in the CACC Championship race. Willey
finished fourth overall with a time of 28:34.97. Willard
placed eighth overall with a time of 28:54.38. For Willey,
this is his second consecutive season earning all conference honors.
The Devils finished
the meet with 150 points, 12 behind sixth place Bloomfield College and
21 behind fifth place Goldey Beacom College. Felician College won the
meet, repeating as CACC Champions with a score of 48 points.
In addition to Willey
and Willard earning All-CACC honors, the Devils
were named the winners of the CACC Team Sportsmanship Award, as voted
on by the league's 12 coaches.
After Willard
crossed the line, USP's next finisher, Nick Barkley (Fr.,
Mansfield HS/Mansfield, Tex.) crossed the line in 39th place,
4:07 behind Willard with a time of 33:01.42.
Rounding out the Devils top five finishers were Mark
Cifelli (So., Watchung Hills Regional HS/Gillette, N.J.)
and Ryan
Pell (Sr., West York HS/York, Pa.). Cifelli
finished in 50th place overall with a time of 35:32.46. Pell
was 51st overall with a time of 35:41.64.
Rich DiGiacomo
(Jr., St. John Neumann HS/Philadelphia, Pa.) was 52nd overall
with a time of 35:55.68 and George
Strock (Sr., Blue Mountain HS/ Schuylkill Haven, Pa.)
rounded out the Devils finishers with a time of 36:47.70 (56th place).
Willey and Willard will
compete at the upcoming NCAA East Regionals on November 4, 2006 at Slippery

Devils
Record Second Consecutive Third Place Finish (10/15/06)
In their final regular
season meet before the Central Atlantic Collegiate conference championships,
the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia women’s cross country team
recorded their second consecutive third place finish at yesterday’s Cabrini
Invitational at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia.
The Devils finished with 66 points, just one shy on second place Gwynedd-Mercy
College. Ursinus College won the meet with a score of 27 points.
Leading the way for USP, as she has all season, was Joy Aifuwa
(Jr., Edison HS/Edison, N.J.). Aifuwa completed the 5,000-meter
course in 20:09.24, her fastest 5K time this year and good enough for
third place overall. Hayley Lentz (So., Wilson Area HS/Easton,
Pa.) followed in 11th place overall with a time of 22:10.09.
USP’s next two finishers also broke the 22-minute mark. Beth
Crawford (Fr., Camden Catholic HS/Haddon Heights, N.J.)
finished in 17th place overall with a time of 22:41.83 while Jean
Dugan (Jr., Methacton HS/Norristown, Pa.) was just two places
behind her in 19th place with a time of 22:57.87
Shelby Rance (Sr., Central Columbia HS/Bloomsburg, Pa.)
was the Devils’ fifth finisher with a time of 23:28.29; good enough for
25th place overall. Sarah Verbyla (Fr., Wyoming Valley West
HS/Larksville, Pa.) was right behind Rance in 26th place
with a time of 23:39.50
Rounding out the Devils’ finishers were Dana Lulias (Jr.,
Bishop Shanahan HS/West Chester, Pa.) and Amanda
Reed (Sr., Haverford HS/Haverford, Pa.). Lulias was 31st
overall with a time of 24:27.23 while Reed was
40th with a time of 26:09.34
Yesterday’s meet concluded the regular season for USP. The Devils will
compete in the CACC Cross Country Championships next Saturday at Carousel
Park in Wilmington, Delaware. The women’s race will start at 10:30 a.m.,
followed by the men.
Men’s
Harriers Close Out Regular Season with Eighth Place Finish
(10/15/06)
The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia men’s cross country team
closed out the 2006 regular season yesterday afternoon with an eighth
place finish at the Cabrini Invitational at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia.
The Devils finished with 163 points, five behind seventh place Wesley
College and 11 behind sixth place Catholic University. Rutgers-Camden
took the team title with 64 points.
The Devils were one of three schools to place two runners amongst the
top ten overall finishers. Nick Willey (So., Shenendehowa
HS/Clifton Park, N.Y.) finished fifth overall with a time
of 27:59.22 while Matt Willard (Fr., Cardinal O'Hara HS/Broomall,
Pa.) was seventh overall with a time of 28:12.45.
USP’s next finisher came in at 49th place overall. Nick Barkley
(Fr., Mansfield HS/Mansfield, Tex.) completed the 8,000-meter
course in 32:18.85. Barkley was followed by Mark Cifelli (So.,
Watchung Hills Regional HS/Gillette, N.J.) in 58th place
with a time of 33:38.27.
Nick Barger (So., Our Lady of Lourdes HS/Stormville, N.Y.)
followed in 65th place overall with a time of 34:16.99, his best effort
of the season. Ryan Pell (Sr., West York HS/York, Pa.)
was 66th overall finishing in 34:20.02. George Strock (Sr.,
Blue Mountain HS/ Schuylkill Haven, Pa.) rounded out the
Devils top seven finishers with a time of 34:59.97.
Rounding out the Devils’ finishers were Rich DiGiacomo (Jr.,
St. John Neumann HS/Philadelphia, Pa.), Sean Hatfield (So., J.W. Mitchell/New
Port Richey, Fla.) and Eddy Garcia (So., Hun
School of Princeton/ Bordentown, N.J.). DiGiacomo finished
in 35:07.58 while Hatfield crossed the line
in 37:45.88. Garcia finished in 39:09.32
Yesterday’s meet concluded the regular season for USP. The Devils will
compete in the CACC Cross Country Championships next Saturday at Carousel
Park in Wilmington, Delaware. The men’s race will start at 11:30 a.m.,
while the women run at 10:30 a.m.
Devils
Take Third Place at Goldey Beacom Invitational (10/7/06)
Rain and a muddy course could
not keep the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia women's cross
country team from capturing third place overall at this morning's Goldey
Beacom Invitational at Carousel Park in Wilmington, Delaware.
The Devils finished the race
with 111 points, just 11 behind second place Albright College. Ursinus
College won the meet with a score of 64 points. Nine of the 12 Central
Atlantic Collegiate Conference teams competed in this morning's meet with
USP besting the other eight. Felician College took fourth overall with
a score of 116 and Philadelphia University took fifth with 124 points.
Joy Aifuwa (Jr.,
Edison HS/Edison, N.J.) paced the Devils, finishing in second
place overall with a time of 20:36.57. Kristie Kershaw of West Chester
University won the race with a time of 19:58.77. Aifuwa's time was also
her fastest ever in three races on the Carousel Park course.
USP's next two finishers also
ran their fastest times ever on this particular course. Hayley
Lentz (So., Wilson Area HS/Easton, Pa.) finished in 16th
place overall with a time of 22:10.38. Shelby Rance (Sr.,
Central Columbia HS/Bloomsburg, Pa.) was right behind her
in 17th place, finishing the 5,000-meter course in 22:14.17
The next three finishers for
the Devils all finished below 24 minutes and were within 40 seconds of
each other. Beth Crawford (Fr., Camden Catholic HS/Haddon
Heights, N.J.) finished in 35th place with a time of 23:08.80.
Six places behind Crawford was Sarah
Verbyla (Fr., Wyoming Valley West HS/Larksville, Pa.), crossing
the line in 41st place with a time of 23:35.52. Jean Dugan
(Jr., Methacton HS/Norristown, Pa.) was just three places
behind Verbyla, finishing 44th overall with
a time of 23:47.77.
Rounding out USP's finishers
were Dana Lulias (Jr., Bishop Shanahan HS/West Chester, PA),
Nicole Glasser (Fr., Archbishop Molloy HS/Forest Hills, N.Y.)
and Amanda Reed (Sr., Haverford HS/Haverford,
PA). Lulias was 62nd overall with
a time of 25:08. Glasser was 69th with a time
of 25:40 while Reed was 79th with a time of
27:04.
The Devils return to Belmont
Plateau next Saturday, October 14, 2006 when they compete in the Cabrini
Invitational.
Men's
Harriers Finish Tenth at Goldey Beacom (10/7/06)
The University of the Sciences
in Philadelphia men's cross country team received solid performances from
their top two runners but the Devils finished in tenth place overall at
this morning's Goldey Beacom Invitational at Carousel Park in Delaware.
The Devils finished with 241
points, tied with fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference school
Bloomfield College and were placed tenth based on the sixth runner tiebreaker.
USP was 18 points behind ninth place finisher and host Goldey Beacom College(223)
and 20 points behind eighth place Lincoln University (221). West Chester
University and Felician College finished with 87 points apiece with the
Golden Rams of West Chester placing ahead of the Golden Falcons of Felician
with a better finish by their sixth runner.
USP was led by Nick
Willey (So., Shenendehowa HS/Clifton Park, N.Y.). Willey
finished in seventh place overall with a time of 27:58.62, over three
minutes better than his 2005 time at last's year's race. Willey
was followed by Matt Willard (Fr., Cardinal O'Hara HS/Broomall,
Pa.) in 14th place overall with a time of 28:30.58.
A little over four minutes later,
the Devils placed their third runner across the finish line. Nick
Barkley (Fr., Mansfield HS/Mansfield, Tex.)
finished in 68th place overall with a time of 32:45.10. Barkley
was followed by Mark Cifelli (So., Watchung Hills Regional
HS/Gillette, N.J.) in 73rd place overall with a time of
33:28.84.
Ryan Pell (Sr., West
York HS/York, Pa.) and Nick
Barger (So., Our Lady of Lourdes HS/Stormville, N.Y.)
were the fifth and sixth Devils to finish, placing 92nd and 93rd overall
respectively. Pell crossed the line in 35:22.16
while Barger was right behind him, finishing
in 35:32.79.
Rounding out the Devils finishers
were George Strock (Sr., Blue Mountain HS/ Schuylkill Haven,
Pa.), Rich DiGiacomo (Jr., St. John Neumann HS/Philadelphia, Pa.) and
Eddy Garcia (So., Hun School of Princeton/ Bordentown, N.J.).
Strock finished in 36:48 while DiGiacomo
crossed the line in 37:48. Garcia finished in
40:01.

Harriers Take Third at Belmont Classic (10/1/06)
Four personal bests and five
season-best times highlighted the afternoon for the University of the
Sciences in Philadelphia women's cross country team as they recorded a
third place finish at yesterday's Belmont Classic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The Devils' third place finish is the highest placing in four meets so
far this season. USP finished with 105 points, trailing just Georgian
Court University (91) and Felician College (94).
USP got season best performances from their top three runners. Joy
Aifuwa (Jr., Edison HS/Edison, N.J.) took second place overall
with a time of 20:14.57. Hayley Lentz (So., Wilson Area HS/Easton,
Pa.) was the second Devil to finish, completing the 5,000-meter
course in 21:33.01 for 14th place overall. Shelby Rance (Sr.,
Central Columbia HS/Bloomsburg, Pa.) followed in 22nd place
with a time of 21:52.83. Lentz was just seven
seconds off her fastest 5K time ever while Rance
was a mere three seconds slower then her personal best.
The Devils also got personal best times from their next three finishers.
Jean Dugan (Jr., Methacton HS/Norristown, Pa.)
finished in 34th place overall with a time of 22:30.29. Right behind Dugan
in 36th place was Beth Crawford (Fr., Camden Catholic HS/Haddon
Heights, N.J.) with a time of 22:32.99. Sarah
Verbyla (Fr., Wyoming Valley West HS/Larksville, Pa.) followed
with a time of 22:57.48 to finish in 43rd place, giving the Devils six
runners finishing in under 23 minutes for the first time this season.
Rounding out the Devils finishers were Dana Lulias (Jr., Bishop
Shanahan HS/West Chester, PA), Nicole Glasser
(Fr., Archbishop Molloy HS/Forest Hills, N.Y.) and
Amanda Reed (Sr., Haverford HS/Haverford, PA). Lulias
finished in 53rd place with a season best time of 23:47.52, while Glasser
crossed the line in 24:58.04, a personal best. Reed,
running in her 28th consecutive meet as a Devil, turned in her best time
of the season with a 25:29.90.
The Devils will travel to Goldey Beacom College next Saturday, October
7, 2006 to participate in the Goldey Beacom Invitational.

Finish Eighth at Belmont Classic (10/1/06)
The top four runners on the University
of the Sciences in Philadelphia men's cross country team turned a personal
best performances at yesterday's Belmont Classic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
leading the Devils to an eight place finish amongst the 18 schools competing.
The Devils scored 211 points,
20 behind seventh place Lincoln University. Richard Stockton University
won the team title with 68 points, followed by Lebanon Valley College
with 91 points and Felician College with 92 points.
One week after the USP course
record at Belmont Plateau was broken, the record again fell as Nick
Willey (So., Shenendehowa HS/Clifton Park, N.Y.) regained
the record he had broken last week by teammate Matt Willard
(Fr., Cardinal O'Hara HS/Broomall, Pa.). Willey
completed the 8,000-meter course in 27:36.85 to finish in 11th place overall,
shaving nearly 20 seconds off Willard's mark
set at last week's Philadelphia Metro race. Willard
also bettered his time from last week, finishing in 12th place with a
time of 27:44.10.
USP's next two finishers also
set personal bests. Nick Barkley (Fr., Mansfield HS/Mansfield,
Tex.) finished in 64th place overall with a time of 32:06.26
and Mark Cifelli (So., Watchung Hills Regional HS/Gillette,
N.J.) took 66th place with a time of 32:12.46. Rounding
out the Devils top five was Ryan Pell (Sr., West York HS/York,
Pa.). Pell turned in his best time since the 2004 season,
finishing in 79th place with a time of 33:27.38.
Rounding out the Devils finishers
were George Strock (Sr., Blue Mountain HS/ Schuylkill Haven,
Pa.), Sean Hatfield (So., J.W. Mitchell/New Port Richey, Fla.), Rich DiGiacomo

Strock turned in a time of 35:13.33 while Hatfield
finished in 35:45.91. DiGiacomo crossed the
line in 36:23.53 and Garcia finished in 38:11.29.

to Wilmington, Delaware on Saturday, October 7, 2006 to participate in
the Goldey Beacom Invitational.
Devils
Finish Fifth at Philadelphia Metro Championship (9/24/06)
The University of the
Sciences in Philadelphia women's cross country team faced 21 schools at
yesterday’s Philadelphia Metro Championship, finishing in fifth place.
The Devils recorded
161 points, 23 behind fourth place Gloucester County College. Franklin
and Marshall won the meet for the second consecutive year with 36 points.
Richard Stockton University was second with 95 points and Georgian Court
University was third with 127 points.
Defending individual
champion Joy Aifuwa (Jr., Edison HS/Edison, N.J.)
finished in fourth place overall with a time of 20:49.76. Shelby
Rance (Sr., Central Columbia HS/Bloomsburg, Pa.) was the
second Devil to finish, crossing the line in 22:23.91 placing 29th overall.
Hayley Lentz (So., Wilson Area HS/Easton, Pa.)
followed in 34th place, finishing in 22:38.74.
Rounding out the Devils
top five finishers were Beth Crawford (Fr., Camden Catholic
HS/Haddon Heights, N.J.) and Jean Dugan (Jr.,
Methacton HS/Norristown, Pa.). Crawford finished in 47th
place overall with a time of 23:11.20 while Dugan
turned in a solid performance, finishing in 52nd place with a time of
23:27.22.
Sarah Verbyla
(Fr., Wyoming Valley West HS/Larksville, Pa.) and
Nicole Glasser (Fr., Archbishop Molloy HS/Forest Hills, N.Y.)
rounded out the Devils top seven finishers. Verbyla finished with a time
of 23:52.88 (58th place) while Glasser finished in 25:46.53.
The Devils will defend
their championship at next week’s Belmont Classic, held at Belmont Plateau
in Philadelphia on September 30, 2006.
Willard
sets Record but Devils Place Ninth at Metro Championship (9/24/06)
Matt Willard
broke the Belmont Plateau school record but the University of the Sciences
in Philadelphia men’s cross country team finished a somewhat disappointing
9th place out of the 21 schools competing at yesterday’s Philadelphia
Metro Championship.
Willard
(Fr., Cardinal O'Hara HS/Broomall, Pa.) completed the 8,000-meter
course in 27:56.35, bettering the mark of 28:37.53 set last year by teammate
Nick Willey (So., Shenendehowa HS/Clifton Park, N.Y.)
at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships. Willard’s
time was good enough for fourth place overall, 19 seconds behind overall
winner Walter Tum of Bloomfield College. Willey
also bettered his old mark, finishing in sixth place overall with a time
of 28:01.85.
As a team, the Devils
finished with 239 points, two behind eighth place and host Cabrini College.
Richard Stockton University won the meet for the eighth time in the last
ten years with 62 points.
The ninth place finish
was due to the gap between USP’s top two finishers and their third through
fifth finishers. Nick Barkley (Fr., Mansfield HS/Mansfield,
Tex.) was the third USP runner to cross the line, finishing
in 34:37.69 in 87th place overall and over six minutes behind Willard
and Willey. Rounding out the Devils top five
finishers were Ryan Pell (Sr., West York HS/York, Pa.) and
Nick Barger (So., Our Lady of Lourdes HS/Stormville, N.Y.). Pell
crossed the line in 96th place overall with a time of 35:32.95 while Barger
finished in 36:05.52 (100th place).
George Strock
(Sr., Blue Mountain HS/ Schuylkill Haven, Pa.) (37:22) and
Rich DiGiacomo (Jr., St. John Neumann HS/Philadelphia, Pa.)
(37:31) rounded out the Devils top seven finishers.
USP returns to Belmont Plateau
next week for the Belmont Classic, hosted by Cabrini College. The men’s
race will start at 1 p.m.

Place Sixth at Maroon and Gold Invitational (9/9/06)
The rain stayed away
today as the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia men's cross country
team battled to a six place finish at the Maroon and Gold Invitational
hosted by Kutztown University.
The Devils finished
with 147 points, five behind fifth place finisher Philadelphia University.
Lock Haven University, ranked #9 nationally in the most recent USTFCCCA
coaches poll, won the meet placing seven runners in the top 20 to finish
with 29 points. Host Kutztown University, a top 15 finisher at last year's
NCAA East Regionals, placed second with 40 points.
The two "W's"
again led the Devils. Matt
Willard (Fr., Cardinal O'Hara HS/Broomall, PA)
finished 18th overall, completing the 8,000-meter course in 28:43, breaking
the school record for the course (29:22) set last year by USP's #2 finisher
this year, Nick Willey (So., Shenendehowa HS/Clifton Park,
NY). Willey finished in 23rd place
overall with a time of 29:27.
Next to cross the finish
line for the Devils was Mark
Cifelli (So., Watchung Hills Regional HS/ Gillette, NJ).
Cifelli was 40th overall, finishing with a
time of 33:29, a 50 second improvement over his time on this course last
year. Rounding out the Devils top five were Nick Barkley (Fr.,
Mansfield HS/Mansfield, TX) (35:24) and Ryan
Pell (Sr., West York HS/York, PA) (35:59).
George Strock
(Sr., Blue Mountain HS/ Schuylkill Haven, PA) (37:56) and
Rich
DiGiacomo (Jr., St. John Neumann HS/Philadelphia, PA)
rounded out the Devils top seven runners.

The University of the
Sciences in Philadelphia women's cross country team faced some strong
competition in Saturday's Maroon and Gold Invitational, placing seventh.
The Devils recorded
167 points, ten behind sixth place finisher Philadelphia University and
30 behind Richard Stockton College for fifth place. Host Kutztown University
placed five runners in the top eight overall to win the meet with 25 points.
The Golden Bears had finished in the top three at last year's NCAA East
Regionals. Lock Haven University, another top regional finisher last year,
placed second with 48 points while West Chester University was third with
69 points.

USP
Men Place Eighth in Season Opener (9/2/06)
The
University of the Sciences in Philadelphia men's cross country team opened
their 2006 season with an eighth place finish at the Delaware Valley College
Invitational, running through the heavy rain and winds.
Their
eighth place finish is improvement over last year's 10th place showing.
The Devils scored 208 points, 20 behind seventh place Albright College.
West Chester University won the meet, placing three runners in the top
ten and six in the top 20 to finish with 45 points.
Crossing
the finish line first for USP was freshman Matt Willard (Fr.,
Cardinal O'Hara HS/Broomall, PA). Willard
finished the 8,000-meter race in 28:58.80, the fastest time ever by a
USP runner making his collegiate debut at the 8,000-meter distance. His
time was good enough for eighth place overall.
Finishing
behind Willard was Nick
Willey (So., Shenendehowa HS/Clifton Park, NY).
Willey also broke the 30-minute mark, finishing
in 13th place overall with a time of 29:46.69. Mark Cifelli
(So., Watchung Hills Regional HS/ Gillette, NJ) was the
next USP runner to finish, crossing the line in 53rd place with a time
of 35:19.92.
Rounding
out the Devils top five finishers were Ryan
Pell (Sr., West York HS/York, PA)
and Nick Barger
(So., Our Lady of Lourdes HS/Stormville, NY).
Pell finished 71st overall with a time of 36:47.53
while Barger crossed the line three places behind
Pell with a time of 37:19.99
Rich
DiGiacomo (Jr., St. John Neumann HS/Philadelphia, PA)
and Sean
Hatfield (So., J.W. Mitchell HS/New Port Richey, FL)
rounded out the Devils top seven finishers with times of 38:53 and 39:32
respectively.

USP
Women Open Season at Delaware Valley (9/2/06)
Braving
the inclement weather, the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia
women's cross country team kicked off the 2006 season at Delaware Valley
College on Saturday, finishing in eighth place amongst the 15 complete
teams.
The
Devils finished with 191 points, 26 behind seventh place Georgian Court
University. West Chester University won the team title, placing four runners
in the top ten overall and finishing with 46 points.
Joy
Aifuwa
(Jr., Edison HS/Edison, NJ) finished second overall turning
in a time of 26:12.79 for the soggy 6,000 meter course. The junior harrier
finished 65 seconds behind overall winner Kristie Kershaw of West Chester
University.
Hayley
Lentz (So.,Wilson Area HS/Easton, PA) was the second USP
runner to finish, crossing the line in 21st place overall with a time
of 27:52.53. Lentz was followed by Shelby Rance (Sr., Central
Columbia HS/Bloomsburg, PA) in 49th place with a time of
29:39.96. Sarah Verbyla (Fr., Wyoming Valley West HS/Larksville,
PA) became the fourth Devil to finish, crossing the line
in 31:05, good enough for 61st place.
Rounding
out the Devils finishers were Dana Lulias (Jr., Bishop Shanahan
HS/West Chester, PA) (31:38); Beth Crawford
(Fr., Camden Catholic HS/ Haddon Heights, NJ) (32:24); Amanda
Reed (Sr., Haverford HS/Haverford, PA)
(33:41) and Nicole Glasser (34:23).
