Close out Season with Win over Cougars (10/11/09)
The University
of the Sciences in Philadelphia women's tennis team closed
out the fall portion of their dual match season with a 5-1
win over Caldwell College Sunday afternoon at the McNeil Field
Courts in Philadelphia.
The
win gives the Devils a fall record of 4-7 overall and 4-4
in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games.....USP's
four conference wins is one more than they won during the

Playoff Hopes End with Lightning Win (10/8/09)
The University
of the Sciences in Philadelphia women’s Tennis team saw they
playoffs chances fade away on Thursday as Goldey-Beacom College
cruised past the Devils, 9-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate
Conference play DelCastle Tennis Center in Pine Creek, Delaware.
GBC
(10-1, 6-1 CACC) won all three doubles matches and all six
singles matches to claim all nine points. The Devils drop
to 3-7 overall and 3-4 in league play. USP can now finish
no better than fifth place as the season winds down, with
the top four teams qualifying for the CACC playoffs. .........more

Laney Jones
won the tiebreaker in her singles match against Georgian Court
University's Alexus McClintic Tuesday afternoon at USP's McNeil
Field Courts to give the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia
women's tennis team a 5-4 win over the Lions.
The
win improves the Devils record to 3-6 overall and 3-3 in Central

Taking
a break from conference action, the University of the Sciences
in Philadelphia women's tennis team hosted East Stroudsburg
University Sunday for a non-conference match at the McNeil
Field Courts, losing to the Warriors 9-0.

The
University of the Sciences in Philadelphia women’s tennis
team earned their second conference win of the season Saturday
afternoon, defeating Chestnut Hill College 8-1 at the CHC
tennis courts.
With
the win, the Devils improve to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in Central
Atlantic collegiate conference (CACC) matches. Chestnut Hill
drops to 1-10 overall and 1-4 in league play. The win is the
Devils ninth straight over the Griffins, dating back to the

Ground Eagles to Earn First Win of 2009 Season (9/22/09)
The
University of the Sciences in Philadelphia women's tennis
team swept through the doubles competition and took five of
the six singles matches as they earned their first win of
the season, defeating Post University, 8-1 on Tuesday in their
home opener at the McNeil Field Tennis Courts.
The
Devils improve to 1-2 on the season and 1-1 in Central Atlantic

Tennis Team Fares Well at ITA Regional Tournament (9/20/09)
It
was a good two days for the six members of the University
of the Sciences in Philadelphia women's tennis team competing
at the ITA East Regional Tournament held at the Arthur Ashe
Youth Tennis and Education Center in the East Falls section
of Philadelphia.
The
Devils, all of whom were competing in the "B" singles
and doubles draws, came away with their first wins ever in
the tournament with freshman Sara
Durham (Sacred Heart HS/Bridgeton, N.J.)

Freshman
Sara Durham won her first collegiate singles
match on Monday against La Salle University's top singles
player, however the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia
women's tennis team dropped the match, losing 6-1 to the Explorers

The
University of the Sciences in Philadelphia women's tennis
team kicked off their 2009-10 campaign Saturday afternoon,
losing to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference rival Philadelphia
University, 8-1 at the Abraham J. Salaman Courts on the Rams
campus.
The
Devils lone win came in singles competition as sophomore Juliet
Choi (Clarkstown North HS/New City, N.Y.) made

Haven, Conn. (Aug. 20, 2009) - The University
of the Sciences women's tennis team has been picked to finish
fifth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC)
pre-season poll which was released today. The league's nine
