Bedway shares the honor with Maddie Smith of Philadelphia University.

Bedway recorded her second consecutive perfect week, winning both her matches at #1 singles and both matches at #1 doubles. Starting the week on Thursday against Eastern University, Amanda teamed up with Sarah Leonard to record an 8-1 win at #1 doubles. Remaining perfect on the day, Bedway recorded a 6-0, 6-1 straight set win over Eastern’s Mandy Kuiken at #1 singles as the Devils recorded a 7-2 win

On Saturday, Bedway opened the day with an 8-2 win with Leonard at #1 doubles against Chestnut Hill. Amanda capped off her perfect week with a 6-3, 6-0 win over CHC’s Cara Wallin at #1 singles. Both victories were Bedway’s 30th career victories in singles and in doubles.

Bedway is currently 4-0 on the season in both singles and doubles competition. For her career Amanda sports a 30-11 (.731) record in singles and 30-10 (.750) in doubles matches.

Bedway, a pharmacy major, is in her fourth and final season of competition for the Devils. This week’s Player of the Week award marks the fourth time in her career that she has earned player of the week honors, the most of any conference tennis player since the weekly award was instituted in 2005.

USP will be on the road for their next three matches as the Devils face Goldey Beacom College on Tuesday, September 18, 2007, West Chester University on September 19 and LaSalle University on September 20.
