Jones Named to CACC Women’s Tennis Honor Roll

Philadelphia (October 7, 2008) – University of the Sciences in Philadelphia freshman women’s tennis player Laney Jones (Wyoming Seminary /Blakeslee, Pa.) was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Tennis Honor Roll for the week ending October, 5, 2008

Jones remained undefeated in singles competition this week, recording two wins. Laney opened the week with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Chantelle Chaudoin of West Chester on Tuesday. Jones followed it up on Thursday with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Jessika Acilio of La Salle as the Devils earned their first match win of the season.

With the two singles wins, Jones improved to 4-0 on the season in singles competition.

The former Wyoming Seminary High school athlete is in her first season as a member of the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia women's tennis team. Jones is a first year student in the university's Doctor of Pharmacy program.
