Chesnavich Named to CACC Women’s Basketball Honor Roll
Philadelphia, Pa. (2/6/07) – University of the Sciences in Philadelphia women’s Basketball player Erin Chesnavich (Bishop O’Reilly High School/Pittston, Pa.) was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll for her performance for the week ending February 4, 2007.
In two games last week, Chesnavich, a 6’2” freshman, averaged 15 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game, leading the Devils to a 1-1 week.
Opening the week against Goldey Beacom College, Chesnavich scored a game-high 20 points on 10-for-15 shooting from the field. Erin also pulled down 10 rebounds for her second consecutive double-double and her fourth of the season, while recording two blocked shots.
Chesnavich followed up her performance against Goldey Beacom with a 10-point, nine-rebound game against Post University.
For the week, Chesnavich connected on 15 of 24 shots from the field (62.5%) and pulled down a total of 19 rebounds. Erin also recorded three blocked shots on the week.
The former Bishop O’Reilly High School athlete is in her first season of play for the Devils. Chesnavich is currently second on the Devils in scoring, averaging 13.2 points per game and is the Devils second leading rebounder (7.8/gm.). Erin is also second on the team with 24 blocked shots.
Chesnavich is a biology major the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
