The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia women’s basketball
program is pleased to announce the addition of four players
to their squad for the 2009-10 season.

players Erin Chesnavich and
Melissa Rotz have been named to the 2008-09
Philadelphia Inquirer Area All-Academic Team. Chesnavich
and Rotz are amongst the seven student-athletes
selected to this year’s women’s basketball area All-Academic
team. The team is voted on by the sports information offices
of the 28 area institutions in the Philadelphia-metropolitan

Chesnavich was named to the 2008-09 Daktronics
NCAA Division II East All-Region Women's Basketball Team.
Chesnavich, a junior, was chosen
as a Second Team selection in balloting done by the regions
Division II sports information directors. Daktronics is a
world leader in programmable electric signs and digital displays

Chesnavich and Allison Weiss
were named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC)
Women’s Basketball All-Conference Team in balloting released
today. Chesnavich, a junior, was
chosen as a First Team selection while Weiss,
a senior was a Third Team selection. The voting was done by
the league’s 13 head coaches. This year’s selection marks
the second consecutive selection for both Chesnavich and Weiss.
