Cangelosi Selected as Honorable Mention All-Conference
New
Haven, Conn. (2/26/07) - University of the Sciences in Philadelphia
men's basketball player Eric Cangelosi (Camden Catholic High School/Haddon
Heights, N.J.) was named today as an honorable mention selection
to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Conference Team. The voting
is done by the league’s 11 coaches.
Cangelosi is the Devils leading scorer, averaging
14.7 points per game, good enough to rank 12th in the CACC. Cangelosi
is also second on the Devils is three-point field goals made (22) and second
on the team in rebounding (6.1/gm). The senior forward is also ranked 16th
in the league in rebounding and fifth in the league with 121 defensive rebounds.
Earlier this season, Cangelosi became the 33rd player
in school history to record 1000 career points. Eric
currently has 1,284 career points to rank 19th on the Devils all-time scoring
list.
The former Camden Catholic High School athlete is in his final season of play
for the Devils. Cangelosi will graduate in May with
a degree in Pharmaceutical Marketing/Management.
