Welcome to Student Academic Support Services (SASS)
University of the Sciences in Philadelphia offers a wide range of services to help you improve your skills as a student and become a successful, independent learner.
We work with faculty and other student support staff to ensure that you receive the best help we can offer.
All of our academic support services are free for matriculating undergraduate students.
Our services include:
- College Learning and Study Strategies (CLASS)
- Group Tutoring
- Supplemental Instruction (SI)
We also house several unique academic program opportunities:
- Preparation, Retention, and Enrichment Program (PREP)
- Summer Bridge
The Career Services and Student Academic Success Center, located
in 4140 Woodland Avenue, is open Monday through Friday, 9:00am -
5:00pm.
Our tutoring services are offered year-round and are generally
available for core introductory undergraduate courses.

College Learning and Study Strategies (CLASS) are one hour semiars
that cover topics that will enhance your academic achievement; such
as Note Taking, Time Management, Stress Management and many others.
The sessions are held in Griffith Hall Room 110B from 1-2pm on Tuesdays
and Thursdays. There are flyers posted around campus with specific
topics and the times they are offered listed.
If you are interested in becoming a tutor, qualified students can
apply for tutoring
