The Center for Interdisciplinary Studies houses a variety of special programs. These programs are:

• Forensic Science
• Intellectual Heritage
• Pre-Med
• Science Teacher Certification
• Writing Center
• Writing

The Writing and Intellectual Heritage Programs provide courses to all first- and second-year students. The Writing Center provides tutorial and other writing assistance to students at all levels. The Forensic Science and Science Teacher Certification programs are available to interested students in a variety of majors. The Pre-Med program serves students from across the campus interested in pursuing professional education in medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry, podiatry or optometry.
