Learning Opportunities in Physician Assistant Studies

Learn by Doing

The professional phase of the program combines coursework with an extensive clinical learning experience in a variety of settings and specialties. The first 15 months are spent in the didactic phase followed by 12 months of clinical rotations.  Rotations offer opportunities for travel and cross-cultural experiences. Sites are available in almost all 50 states, and some students have arranged international rotations; you may also choose to stay in the Philadelphia region.  Rotations include family medicine, internal medicine, general surgery, ER, pediatrics and OB/GYN.

Students in the pre-professisonal phase also have the oppportunity to volunteer their services in medical facilities in third-world countries.
