Direct-entry Master’s in Occupational Therapy (MOT) Program

At University of the Sciences when you declare occupational therapy as your major as a freshman, you can complete the coursework for both a BS and an MOT in just five years. You'll move seamlessly from the pre-professional to professional phase of the program as long as you meet academic criteria and complete program requirements.

In your first two years, you'll get a foundation in the sciences and humanities. Then you'll enter the professional phase, where you'll learn how to work effectively with people and how disease and disability can affect the way people think, feel and live their lives. And you'll participate in the classroom actively as you learn how to apply the skills you've learned in the world around you.

Course work is divided into four levels and four themes.

Levels

  • Foundation
  • Integration
  • Intervention
  • Application

Themes

  • Critical thinking
  • Engagement
  • Clinical reasoning
  • Innovations in practice
