Biography

Dr. Trent G. Towne is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy/University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. He serves as an infectious diseases clinical pharmacist at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ.

Dr. Towne received his B.A. from Hanover College in 2002 and his Pharm.D. from Purdue University in 2006. Following his degree, he completed a pharmacy practice residency (PGY1) with Wishard Health Systems/Purdue University and an infectious diseases specialty residency (PGY2) with the South Texas Veterans Health Care System/University of Texas at Austin. He is an active member in ACCP, SIDP and IDSA.

Dr. Towne’s research interests include the epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance, with special emphasis on gram-negative pathogens.
