5K Race for Humanity - About Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House

Ronald McDonald House

Founded in 1974 as the first "House that Love Built" in the world, the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House provides families with a safe, comfortable home environment while their critically-ill children receive treatment at local Philadelphia hospitals.

From a spacious guest room to home-cooked meals, to children's play areas and hospital transportation, the House is there to make sure its families' basic needs are met, so that they can focus on the most important issue: their child's recovery.

More information about the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House, can be found at: philarmh.org/

We need your help! Your support of the University's 4th Annual Race for Humanity will directly contribute to defer the expenses involved in running the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House.  Althouth the cost to host each family is over $75 a night, no one is turned away for lack of funds.  Let's do what we can to aid in this effort of supporting the basic needs of families so that parents can focus on what's really important, their families and the health of their child.
